WHAT WE DO
STEAM Camps
Utilizing a fully outfitted Makers Space and in collaboration with NE STEAM Coalition, summer and after school STEAM camps are offered free of charge to middle school and high school youth in greater Portland.
Tobacco Awareness Campaign
Engaging middle school and high school youth from across Portland, program participants research, design and create a multi media campaign aimed at reducing tobacco and vaping use among their peers. Youth will learn how to create videos and music as well as screen printing, 3D printing and more. Program runs Monday-Friday from 4pm-7pm through the end of the school year.

BTown Kids
"BTown Kids" is for high-energy outreach focused on showing some love to kids in North Portland. Every Saturday from June through August, BTown Kids teams go into New Columbia (The Ville) in North Portland to sing songs, play games, engage, and share love with hundreds of kids in the area.
Community Events
Throughout the year, in partnership with other community groups, CVPA hosts a number of events aimed at giving back to our community, especially to those in need. From Holiday Gift Boxes in November to Back to School events in the fall, creating opportunities for our community to come together and support and lift each other up is a cornerstone of the work of CVPA.
New Experiences
We are committed to engaging at risk youth in new experiences aimed at broadening their worldview and future opportunities that are open to them, challenging the racialized narratives facing many black and brown youth. These new experiences give them the space and support to challenge how they see their future and rewrite the narrative for who they want to become.
